Graffi-tee/Identi-tee workshop findings

What do you understand by the word identity?

How you look, feel and behave in relation to other people

What or who you are, a definition of "self"

Personal Label

It's somewhat under your control but really what other people perceive of you at that moment and time of absolute labels - for instance if you have 2 children and you are 50 you will have a different identity than having 2 children and being 18 though the 2 children and the age are probably small parts of that person

A construct that is created through space and time in order for a person to feel they belong by attaching themselves to a certain identity

Who you are

Being able to have your own characteristics and being yourself. what people can identify you by

What a person is

The sense of self

From the responses above it is great to see that there is a real understanding personal identity and sense of self.  It's interesting to see there is only a small proportion of young people talking about other people view of them, how they are perceived by the outside world etc.
