Hello and welcome to my journey through MA Design Studies/Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries. I use my blog to post my progress and reflective journal entries. I will also record anything that inspires me. Towards the end of the year I will also let you know about our final show. Please feel free to comment on any entry, feedback and iteration is a core element of my studies.

Roadside Picnic and WHY
Our picnic project is progressing slightly slower than i had hoped, with certain members of the team coming up with completely inappropriate ideas, and wasting the very little time we have. We have our narrative now! Uncontrolability. Surprise. Opposite system to/process to cooking. Leads to...
RANDOM
which encompasses, the diversity of the students, the MADS projects we are given, the combinations, the randomness of the tutors and even why we have all taken the path to MADS...
The EXPERIENCE..
Channelled Randomness
twister dial to spin and chose different components to your mouthful
could do sushi, fondue etc
i thought maybe get sheets of seaweed or rice pancakes, and then lots of different ingredients and sauces for them
each components on a different coloured plate/bowl
each person get 3/4 spins, would have a few dials to ensure a number of people could experience at the same time, they spin the dial and depending where it lands build their own pancake/seaweed roll.
We also looked at WHY we were doing our projects. I great exercise where we wrote down and swapped our reasons with other students.
